The only trick I know of is to dive in and start offing crap.Passanger apron cleans up fairly easy, wires, TFI and CCRM can go into the fenders. Just leave The MAF harness hanging out and your set. If you off the vacum tree you will clean up the firewall and drivers side corner. Driverside apron is a no go unless you plan on moving the fusebox. Getting rid off the smog pump, egr, cruise control, heater tube and A/C will make a huge difference. The question is how much time are you willing to spend doing it. heres a pic of a quick clean up Im in the middle of. This is a very simple clean up nothing complex at all but the end result wil be a fairly clean bay.
