So because i couldn't connect the egr, i removed the metal pipe for the egr that normally connects to the exhaust..and just left the egr/pump sucking in fresh air. Now I noticed pinging at only "WOT", including smoke out the back at same time..i know the EGR shuts out at wot..but I have no other guess to why I'd be pinging..I use 94 octane gas, new copper plugs and frpp wires and did timing to factory standards..car idles great, no surging..pinging only happened after i changed to the off-road pipe and disconnected the EGR pipe ...any ideas??btw..I have no mods done, completely stock except for off-road pipe and K&N drop in</blockquote>
