Ok gang I need to lean on you guys again. I'm also going to be replacing my h pipe tomorrow and was wondering if anyone has any tricks of the trade or tips to make this process as quick and easy as possible. I do not have a lift and will be doing the project with the car on ramps. I know that it's going to be tight but I think that I can do it. Any pointers?

Penetrating oil...Lots of it!

Prelube it the day before.

Have a 3/8th swivel with a piece of black tape wrapped around it to keep it from falling over. (For the passenger side.)

Have a new crush metal gasket ready.

Will WD-40 work or should I get something more powerful? Is there something more powerful? I also bought this car from a guy who lived at the beach so everything is rusted where it doesn't need to be. :BangHead:

PB Blaster is better than WD-40. You also want to put some anti-sieze on the bolts and studs when you put it back together. Get the copper or nickle anti-sieze, both are for high heat applications. The aluminum anti-sieze is for your standard application.
