I did a compression test while I was changing my plugs. Can you guys explain it to me in detail as to what they mean. I kind of get the idea but second guess myself. Something about if the cylinder accross from another one is off by 10%, I'll need a rebuild due to a leak? Anyways these are the results,

4. 155 8. 135
3. 150 7. 135
2. 154 6. 140
1. 130 5. 140

As for the car, its my DD 94 GT. Engine is stock as far as internals and drivetrain. It has 145,000 miles.

Not bad results for 145 thou, number 1 is a lot lower than i would like, are you burning oil or getting lumpy running or something?
I'm assuming you did'nt do the test for fun?

you could try lucas.... if that doesn't bring it up then try restore engine treatment, i dont like to use it often but it works in cars that burn oil, dropped the saturn my cousin drives from a quart and a half down to half a quart every 1500-2k miles

crazy you mention it because yeah it runs a little lumpy sometimes and it burns oil, not alot but a tiny bit more than normal. Almost makes it seem like a misfire which comes from the passenger side head, which is where 1 is at.

In that case the low compression on 1 could well be the cause of the lumpiness, at that mileage some oil burning is going to occur anyway.
