Flowmaster catback with 3.0" tips for '98?

I can only find the 2.5" outlets with the flowmaster catback searching at my typical online site that I trust. Does anyone know where I can find one with the 3.0" tips?

98 cars can run 99-04 catbacks

...so buy a 99+ catback for bigger tips

While I like that Magnaflows are SS, I'm looking for a more "classic" sound and also prefer slash cut polished tips. Magnas have the straight cut as far as I know. I would go for Bassani catback, but don't have the budget.

handz. Interesting, can you splain? I know we have different hangers than 96/97s, but why do manufacturers offer a 98 only version of the catback then?

By "slash cut" do you mean cut at an angle? I have Magnaflow Magnapacks and my are 3" cut at a slight angle.

in 98' they changed the hangers to a different shape. They kept this shape all the way from 1998-2004.

since 98' has the same hangers as 99-04, only 98's can use 99-4 catbacks. I had a flowmaster catback for 98' stangs with 2.5 inch tips. I am now running a 99-04 bassani catback.

So the hangers are in the 99-04 location with our 98s? Thanks for the pics. It looks like your flows had a straight cut and look pretty small on there, so I for sure do not want that 2.5" size. The Bassani tips look real good on there!
