I think they're all the same. Only differance would be in torque converter holes, but I believe that they are all the same. But late 90's vans and trucks may have come with an aod/aode give that a try. Junkyards are your friend.

What's the difference between a flywheel and a flexplate? I thought they were the same thing haha. I found a guy locally on craigslist with a new PA "flywheel" for $40 but its a 28oz, would that work? Thanks

No a 28oz will not work.

A flywheel is used on manual transmission. It has teeth all the way around the outside and a thick polished surface for the clutch to engage on to transfer power.

A flex plate is used with automatic transmissions and they also have teeth all the way around the outside for the starter to engage on. They are bolted to the torque converter to transfer power.

Oh and he listed it for a c4. I thought 351's used a 28oz balance? Thanks for your help

Could I use the flexplate that's already in place from my 302?

What do you mean?

Did you do a rebuild on the trans and you thought you needed a new flexplate?

I got the trans rebuilt I would say going on a year, and the 351 I'm working on didn't come with one. But I wanted to know if my "flexplate" would interchange or if I would have to buy a new one.

That's what I'm confused about. Lafenatu posted a link to a 50oz and I thought it used a 28oz, so I asked if the stock one would interchange but I'm lost haha.
