Then ran one of the nuts down tight against the manifold. The other is replaced with a flange nuts for the down pipes.  Was able to put the LAR X pipe up and get it attached to the mufflers.  A super rare opportunity popped up on marketplace. FOX body bassani tail pipes for a respectable price so I drove the 90 minutes each way into and back out of PA.[ATTACH=full]44650[/ATTACH]Unfortunately the newer bassani mufflers and flow tubes that the previous owner welded together lacks adjustment... so when the tail pipes are put on the drivers muffler hits the frame rail or the tip hanger hits the gas tank.  I think I need to add a joint infront of the muffler so I can rotate the flowtubes to put the mufflers in a more favorable angle and position.  The passenger side doesn't hit anything but for whatever reason the tip is hanging down 3"  still trying to figure that one out. Not sure whether the tube coming out of the muffler is pointed downward causing all of this shenanigans or if the tip hanger is too long.  More pics on this later.I found an 8" long 3" setback chrome handle off of ebay with 3/8-16 ball threads.. so of course modifications ensued to make it fit the triax base that used m8? threads. And the cj pony parts white knob that was m12x1.75 thread.First I took the knob and found a 3/8-16 helicoil went in perfectly.[ATTACH=full]44652[/ATTACH]Next I took the triax off drilled the holes to 5/16 then tapped it to 3/8-16.[ATTACH=full]44651[/ATTACH]Then pseudo assembled it[ATTACH=full]44653[/ATTACH]Next I modified the boot slightly...[ATTACH=full]44654[/ATTACH]Then installed it[ATTACH=full]44657[/ATTACH]With how I have the seat laid back far In. The car it sits nicely when in 3rd gear.
