Ended up talkin to my buddy Jim today whos got an 04 GT. He was telling me he had some brandie new Saleen under drive pulleys and new runnin' pony center caps hes looking to get rid of due to he cant use em.... Alright....... (Akward pause me waiting for him to name a price of some sorts...) None, freebiez.....


Whats the story here? How much do these pulleys go for online? The center caps say $24.95 each gaddaymmm!

The only thing im wonderin is if the pulleys are gonna work wit' my car. He was saying he had the wrong water pump on his car so these wouldnt work for his car... Idk.

If its free its fo' me, Yup!

Heres another question i got for you. A buddy of mine was saying something about possibly needing to tone down the amperage from the alternator after? He said in some cases underdrive pulleys can over charge the alternator? Thanks guys

I think he meant UNDERcharge the Alt... Some people with UD pullies will experience poor charging, as well as poor coolant
circulation from the water pump.. Others claim they have no problems.. But IMO, the extra 2-5hp isn't worth the chance of
overheating my engine... Stock pullies for me FTW.

that sounds like BS to me. your alt has an internal voltage regulator.
On the 5.0's the UDP's usually slow down the alt too much and people have low voltage issues.
Is the alt pulley bigger or smaller than the stock one?

My brother had an H.O. motor in his Cougar. He had BBK pullies for a while, but from time to time he would stop to get gas and then the car wouldn't start! He's since reverted a pulley or two back to stock and hasn't had any problems since.
