So my 347 swap is almost done and the guy at the shop says there is fuel coming out of the exhaust, fuel system upgrades are walbro 255 FP, bbk AFPR, 24 lb injectors. I have come up with a couple of reasons why this could be happening, pinched fuel return line? pinched o2 sensor line? Bad connection on the chip to the ecu? Or injectors stuck open? Any other ideas I gotta pick the car up tommorow and the guy at the shop is a d-bag he's like if it runs then my job is done???? So if I can't fiure something out today then I gotta do it myself... I paid that ****** 2600.00 and he says it's not his problem if my cars not running right??? Please help.... :BangHead: :angry4: :boxing: :violent1: :angry7: I shoulda went somewhere else...

Are you sure it's not just running rich and that the liquid coming out isn't just condensation?

^ +1 for raw fuel to actually be coming out of ur exhaust, something is bad wrong. i would lay money on thats not the case. i think u'd hydro-lock the engine if there was enough un burned fuel to come out of the pipe...unless its not firing on all cylinders?

Ok so I checked it out its not raw fuel just black smoke, idk why he told me raw fuel? Furthermore I am pretty sure the chip either isn't getting a good connection or its just not functioning, i say that because the check engine light is on and throwing the 327 code EGR, the chip was tuned to turn off EGR function and recalibrate for larger injectors, hence shitty idle and running rich. So tommorow I'm going to try and clean the contacts of the J3 port and give it another shot and see if it works the guy I got it from is confident that its not getting a good connection, if it is not than he says hell reburn it and I'll have to take my car home on a trailer :crybaby2:

sometimes the j3 ports need to be re-bronzed. guy at Moates told me this when my quarterhorse was dropping its connection.

I was thinking that since he used brake cleaner on a paper towel that may cause the issue as well, doesn't brake cleaner leave a residue? :tard:

What do you mean re bronzed? Just sanded down? :dontknow:

no, a little cleaning got me resolved, but if it had kept droping they wanted me to send in the processor so that they could actually soder (i believe it was bronze) back onto the j3 port.

what's your fuel pressure regulator set at?

sorry dude, but this would be a classic reason why not to buy a mail order chip.

Set at 39 psi with vac unplugged, I ordered the chip from 2000lbgt the guy from dirtydirtyracing.com I've heard only good things about him on here. I gotta sand/clean the connection before I can say for sure there is something wrong with the chip itself. If there is he said to send it back and he'll reburn it but he's pretty confident it's the connection. He has been a good guy to deal with so far so we'll see what happens after I clean it up I suppose.

i'm sure he will help you out if there's an issue, and i'm sure he's good at what he does. my only complaint is if he was there when you fired it, he would be able to help you out more, by sanding the port, reburning the chip, or whatever. i'm sure you'll fix it soon enough, just be patient.
