Well I have a 1996 Mustang... its got a pushrod in it and a C4 with a brake and a little bit of smack now... Full race car with license plates... At sea level it would run south of 9.99s... it went 10.76 at a DA of 8364...

So I have the car where it is wired on switches and my own gauge panels and everything, but its using the stock fuse box for power and fuseable links. My question is how have you guys who have caged the car done with the fuse box? Is the bar going to get in the way?

Its a wolferacecraft cage BTW. If anybody has pictures that would be great.

Got most of the cage in today!!!! Tig welding sucks.... but i got the rear down bars, the main hoop, the a pillar and the windshield bar in, and the subframe bars in... all welded up. I clearanced the dash, but I will need some more space to find how to move the fuse box... The dash will not go back in until i do that. Is it easy to move the fuse box? I have not been able to unhook my switch panel in the dash so I have not been able to roll it too far forward yet, to see if I can just unbolt the fuse box and let it hang til i can figure out how to mount it.

Tommorow I got to fix the dash so it will go back in, and finish a few bars. I got to do both door bars, the harness bar, the rocker bar on the drivers side and the dash bar... other than that its done... decided against doing the x bars at the moment, same with the through the dash bars to the firewall...

Here are some pictures... Exhaust will be here tomorrow as well.

I seen the light... after playing with those modulars... this thing is much quicker for so much cheaper... if it were a DD i still would have done the exact same thing, but I would of rather done it EFI with a 94/95 computer... thing is so much quicker than the 2v ever would have been... even with a blower...

Now dont get me wrong if you wanna go slow, stay with the 2v... lol but being 18 I don't have much money so I had to go the cheapr route... after 2 modulars I decided it was too expensive, they just are not built as strong as the pushrods... atleast my pushrod... should be good to over 800 using stock block and crank... with some new rods and pistons in there that should hold up... not only that, but i paid less for my whole engine parts than a set of heads would have cost me for a 2v... my heads are world windsor heads, so if i spent another 1000 bucks on heads, i would see another 50-60 HP... try that with a 2v.

This is true you do have some cheaper parts and def faster then most na 2v's we had a Boosted 2v running NMRA MM clas last year at 10.02 all year nad last pass was a 9.8 lol that was T trim, now its YSI and should be deep 9's but money ways is out of this world.

Yes at sealevel.... but guess what my 10.76 pass will convert down to using, a few different altitude correctors? 9.74-9.86s... depends on which one you use... I did all that on a High School budget, building it my self... I have not paid anybody to work on my car... I have lots of good friends because of it too! Wouldnt change a thing.

The 2V just does not have the head flow, even with the new trick flow heads, the motor doesnt have the CI to be a GREAT motor IMO and thus why it requires a blower to make any good power...

It will be getting new slicks and front tires some time in the next two weeks, same with a new drivers side harness (SFI Expired) Mufflers are going on too, Tried to put some on that I had, but they would not fit the new X pipe I fabbed up... True 3 inch too!
