Gear Groan

I had a set of 3.73s put in my 94 gt yesterday. I love the gear. My car pulls so much better! But from 50 mph to 35 they make a rather loud whine when decelerating. I'm pretty sure they arent supposed to do that lol They were installed by Randy's Ring and Pinion so the company is reputable. It wasn't done by some hack in his driveway. So, anyone have ideas on what I should do about this?

take it back and hae them recheck it. Mine whine and have always wineds but it does it constantly and ive had my taken apart about 3 times and checked. You might just have to live with it.

Yea, bring it back to have them check it. They are probably a tad bit off on the contact pattern.

are the gears brand new or used? If used they will have an established wear pattern and may whine some b/c its hard to know how they were set up exactly before. New gears should not whine if installed correctly.

They are brand new Yukons. Only 200 miles on them.

I have the ford racing, and they do not whine on acceleration or deceleration.

Yukon? Never worked with them (hell, I don't know if I ever even heard of them...LOL)

I've not had good luck with richmond, but have had very good success with FMS and Precision. My richmond 4.10's were PERFECT and they still whined.
