The compression and leakdown test came through on my car and its fine, so im just going to finish out the topend on it and be done with it. Going new valve covers, porting the intake and such.

What do i need to know to do this? And what to buy. I'm thinking AFR 165's but theres a few choices. What does all the 61 cc and studmount and emissions and non emissions(i know what emissions means i think) what does thsi mean to me? What do i need to buy for my cobra.

Will they come with new RR's or is that something i need to take off the current GT40's and put on there and how will they come?

Essentially if i buy these damn heads, and gaskets will i have everything i need?

EDIT: Car is 1994 Cobra, steeda 19, new pushrods, new everything almost as far as waterpump and such goes, new hoses, 1.6 stock RR's, stock heads, mm i think thats all you need to know. Any more info is needed just ask.

AFR 165's come with 2 different size combustion chambers 58cc and 61cc. The 58cc chamber is going to raise the compression. Pedestal heads only come with a 61cc

Stud Mount vs Pedestal Mount. Right now, with the stock GT40 heads and Cobra rockers you have a pedestal mount. You would want the AFR 1472. That is an AFR 165 Head setup with Pedestal Mount rockers and 61cc.

The heads will NOT come with rockers. You either have to purchase new rockers or use the existing rockers you have now.

Wow, ok lets start with this first..

1.) What are your intentions

2.) How much money are we able to use?

3.) If the car is a true Cobra, it will come with 1.7 Pedestal Mount Cobra Roller Rockers. They are actually Crane Energizer 1.7 Rockers

...or you can purchase the Holley Systemax or Trickflow H/C/I kits and address everything at once...

if he did that he would be paying or alot of extra stuff he dosent need. If he has a cobra he already has a nice intake, cam(Steeda), and roller rockers.

Didn't see the Steeda 19, but the intake is a choker as compared to the Holley Systemax. Either event, the Steeda cam, AFR or TF TW heads and Holley Systemax / Edlebrock RPM II intake is a nice setup...
