The convertible top is a two piece, and a frequent problem. The piece you need is basically a window with a vinyl shroud sewn around it. No idea how much it would cost used. But I font think fixing it will help you sell the car. A buyer won't know it leaks until they've left it out during an EXTREMELY heavy storm. The car will either smell funny due to the water, or they'll notice the swishy noise it makes when they cut corners sharply A painted car will sell better than a primered one. Honestly if you had left the holes for the side skirt, I'd doubt they would even know they were there or was missing a part. It's a 17yo ford. Your average buyer dont really notice things like this. Thing is, whatever time or money you put into it, you won't get back. All you'll do it reduce the time it's on the market. If a buyer is looking at 2 mustang GTs the nicer one will sell if the price range is the same. Paint it, wash it, then sell it. But honestly, if it were me, I'd just get a manual transmission, computer, and removable hardtop, and then my desire for a manual coupe would be complete. Yeah, I'd still have the weight of a convertible, but at least I'd have everything else. Listen 1994 GTs are going to be slow. The coupe you get won't satisfy you. My car is an automatic convertible and is SO much faster than a factory manual GT. I say beef up the car you have. Chicks dig convertibles. Trust me, I know.
