I wanna say late 97 is when they switched to the gt-40p heads. Before then they were just gt40s. GT-40p's have a smaller combustion chamber (slightly higher compression) and a different spark plug angle (thus making headers an involved project). I wanna say one has a different exhaust valve size. Anywho, the gt40p's are supposed to be more efficient, so i got those.
