Hey guys, I picked up my cobra t45 and like the other 3 GT t45's i got for the tail shaft swap that don't work the place where the fork comes out the bell is wide open. Now I've looked at about 8 other trans for sale and none had anything over that hole... did it just come like that from the factory with a gaping hole where the forks stick out or does it suppose to have some kind of cover? I've looked everywhere and can't find a single one so how about some photos of what I'm suppose to be looking for and maybe someplace where I can get one...

Also, I pretty much have everything now for the t45 swap, for for a couple things. You guys might be able to point me in the right direction. And please don't say EBAY lol thats way overused and I've checked. Anyway, I'm looking for a t45 yoke that goes into the trans so i can use my driveshaft, also looking for a t45 wiring harness. Other than that I got to pick up the cable/quad/firewall adjuster and a Xcal so I can turn off the auto function.

One more question, can I just reuse the auto bell house to block bolts?

Any help or advise you guys could give would be awesome

Thanks
Mitchell

wow 80 something dollars shit, I think i'll find one somewhere else lol. That's ridiculous for just a yoke IMO. O well, any clue where I can get the wiring harness and cover for the fork?

I'm pretty sure I have the harness and yoke, I'll check by this weekend and get back to you.

As for the cover, everyone pitches them, good luck, lol.

On one of my transmissions that cover is bent. Alot of people throw em out, and get a rubber cover to keep debris out of the bellhousing and or damaging the shiftfork. Its just a little piece of aluminum. i can get ya a pic 2 morrow if you want

It's less of a hole, so less get's in. I haven't been to my yard yet this week, I'll probably get out there this weekend.

not quite sure why anyone would just toss those out, they are somewhat expensive for what they are. go to ford and it is well over $60 for a new one

I'm not sure why alot of people do alot of things, lol. But they do, especially when it's easier.
