Go ahead and tell me yourself. I know people refer to it as a 350, that doesn't make it right, they are ignorant of the fact that the motor was completely redesigned, and share's absolutely no part's whatsoever in common with a 350. You may as well call it a 351, or a 455, or whatever you feel like really. These same type of ignorant people are the ones who think our car's have 5.0s in them, and when you correct them, they get this blank look and say "oh.... is that a 6..."

And Actually, Aaron is the one who corrected you, I let it go, because I could give a crap, I only corrected him.

I'm just sayin that 5.7 translates into 350ci same as 5.0 translates into 302ci, and how could someone think are cars are 5.0's when it says 4.6 on the side. Now those are stupid ppl, but i see where your coming from JR. Not tryin to be a dick but i guess you describe things more accurately than i do which is a good thing because that's the only way ppl learn the right way. I don't really know that much about gm anyway i'm more of a ford guy. :)

:hammer: technically 5.0=305 cubic inches, the correct math is 61 cubic inches per liter, however, the OE's use it more as an advertising tool than anything, which is why the 351 was called a 5.8, that one inch didn't bump it .1 litre, it's just Ford wanted to be different from GM.

yea i see what your sayin i guess it is more for advertizing than accuracy, and i didn't even think about the old trans ams that had the 5.0's in em but they were 305ci.

wow sometimes i wish i had a ls1... heritic

you can always get one! When i worked at the GM tech center there was a guy there that had a grey 2000ish GT. on the back window it said "best of both worlds" with the joker holding a ford oval in one hand and a pontiac symbol in the other. his other car was a WS6.
