Instead of trying to find a light to screw in I used an H7  since it had a nice fat base and used some weather strip adhesive to  make them snug as a bug. The I just grounded it to the car and found the  signal wire from the reverse connector for the positive lead. I've only ruined one ballast b/c it was a crappy one from ebay that almost caught my ass on fire.</blockquote>
