So I've always wanted to do this with my other cars and never pulled the trigger. So I figured why not on this car? I'm not running HID's up front b/c I want it to have the stock look and not be noticed by cops as much. These are 5k 35w but I do have some 55w ballast I might plug in to see how I do. I went to my friends house which is out in the sticks and these came in handy! I've switched my interior to an 01 so I will be wiring up the factory 01 foglight switch to power on my reverse lights whenever I want (i.e, tail gaters, people with brights on, etc...)

How much did you have to modify the tails to mount the bulbs?

I just give people the finger.....seems to work well here in TX. Looks good man, just dont know how often I would really use this. Do the reverse lights still work when the trans is in reverse or is it switch only? Only real reason I could see where this would be NEEDED is if you have dark ass tint on the windows and drive quite a bit at night.

LI don't wanna rain on ur parade but don't plan on them lasting long,HIDs are not meant to be on off in short bursts like that,my buddy did the same thing, last a few months maybe.it will likely blow the ballast but it does look cool.

Ha, I'd be afraid some1 would shoot me in that state,

nice! def need a more detailed how I done did it explanation!

Looks good. How about a write up?

Almost zero. Instead of trying to find a light to screw in I used an H7 since it had a nice fat base and used some weather strip adhesive to make them snug as a bug. The I just grounded it to the car and found the signal wire from the reverse connector for the positive lead. I'll try and snap some pics for you guys tomorrow.

Care to wager? :) I tend not to fire them up and then shut them off immediately I usually let them burn for 30 seconds which I've been doing with all my cars since like 02. I've only ruined one ballast b/c it was a crappy one from ebay that almost caught my ass on fire.

The throwing it in reverse was just a what if. I know you can't throw it in reverse and I would never put a switch to actually turn it on to blind someone. Don't need anyone getting hurt. Love the mod though.
