He has a bone stock 94 gt that just blew a head gasket on it. Sone how in the process of takeing off the stock heads he broke off a few bolts in them. Instead of haveing the stockers drilled out he wants to stick the AFR's on the stock motor to save a few bucks. Ive always been told trick flows are the only heads with 2.02 vales that will clear stock pistons. A few local mustang guys told him the AFR's will clear and still beable to run a small cam , is this true? Hes building a big bore 331 (347 ci but at a 331 rod ratio) stroker but the dart block will be a few months b4 he gets it and his stang can't be down that long. I told him he's probly better off picking up a set of used ho heads considering i think he broke 5 bolts off in them lol. What do you guys think? I've Tried heat , easy outs , soaking them with p.b. blaster & reverse thread drill bits and broke one in it. They are stuck good and will have to be drilled and retaped professionally. If the AFR's will clear that kinda cam could he get away with? If they won't clear wouldnt you think a used set of stock heads would be cheeper?</p></blockquote><p></p>
