Okay so this is what happned. My friend has a stock 98 GT. His intake manifold cracked so we decided to do the PI manifold swap with PI gaskets. We did the swap and started the car. There was some smoke coming from the rear of the engine. We're not sure if it is leftover coolant that spilled on the exhaust or if there is a leak. I checked the oil and there is coolant mixed in with it. We did not do an oil change so I don't know if this is from before or after the swap. Would a misalligned intake manifold gasket cause coolant to mix into the oil? I don't know what I should do first.

You put a PI intake on NPI heads? Did you use RTV to seal the mis matched areas around the coolant ports? If so did you let it sit for 24hrs to cure before starting it up?

Yea, it's a PI intake on the stock NPI heads. We used RTV sealant on both of the "boot" shaped coollant ports and let it sit for over 24hrs.

id change the oil first. use something cheep, but synthetic.

next start it up and see if it mixes again. most shops that do this swap will drop the coolant and the oil before doing the swap.

We'll try that first. I just washed down the undercariage of the car and engine bay this way I'll know if coolant leaks next time we start it up.
