It all started when I had to replace the stock fan because it burnt out. Well I figured hey, I would take the time to upgrade my stock rad to the 3" mishimoto alum. radiator with 2, 12" slim line fans. After that install it has been nothing but hell. The mishimoto radiator leaked right off the bat, so I returned it but decided to keep the fans, because they seemed to blow very well.

Even after going back to a stock radiator it still got hot while driving. So I changed the water pump and the thermostat. And now I'm on my second therm! And I still run hot! I don't know how many times I have burped the system.. I'm out of ideas. Watching the needle climb to the M-L area on "NORMAL" really just makes me nervous because I know its really not normal for it to get this hot.

Today I checked the crossover tube and I noticed a little run spot going down from the crossover fill point. Could it be possible that I need a new crossover plug? And that maybe I am running hot because of this?

Your guy's thoughts..

Does the temp drop when you are on the highway???

I have a feeling those Mishimoto fans are not keeping up with the job...

How much cooler did the car used to run before?

It used to never get above the A-M. Now I climb almost past the L sometimes.. And no the temps are high on the highways thats another reason why I dont think its the fans....

Well I would say that changing the Temp sender in the coolant crossover is something worth doing(its cheap)..

Do the fans stay on constantly or do they cycle? If they cycle then I would suspect a faulty gauge.. If they stay on non stop then you need to diagnose further...
