Hey i am looking to get new headlights. Well i wanna upgrade to a HID also. I am wondering do you think i ought to go with a Cobra Style headlight. Or if i should get just a simple stock set just new ones. The cobra look alike ones are about 100 bucks and come with a set of corners. If i was to get those i would apply another bead of silicone around the housing to insure a seal. I am also concerned with scatter if i were to go HID with the stock headlight housing. I have heard it can cause issues. What do you guys think??

Here's what I did:
I bought smoked lights from BOI. I am putting in 4300 HIDs as we speak. 1 bulb is bad, so I'm waiting for the replacement! There is none of that projector/halo stuff, either!
Out of those you put, I like the Diamond Black ones better though!

No matter what you buy, do this to them! Take some clear silicone and put an extra seal on them! This gives you extra insurance!! It keeps them from fogging up inside! Mine still look brand new! I bought them on 8/7/07.

The stock ones are going to scatter HID light like no other, get a headlight with a clear lens, at least stock Cobra headlights. I got a set of smoked ones for my car, they look sweet.

I had those on my old car. They were alright.

But I have smoked on my current 95 with hid's.

Ok good my thought of having problems with scatter was my main concern. I have been trying to find stock Cobra OEM headlights for a while now. I was thinking those Black Cobra style obviously not real cobra but sorta the style and on a black car i think they would look pretty good. Thanks 1stof3, Javi, Onyx and soddy for the input. I think i will go with the black ones with the clear lens and pick up a set of HID to throw in there. I will however put a nice bead of silicone around the lens to prevent from any fogging issues. I just have a simple set of Nokya Bulbs in my headlights now. Thanks again guys :dancing6: :banana:

Here's my smoked with 4300's.

Remember, just the dr side is working correctly! The other side works, but not near like it should! The camera makes it look brighter on the bad side than it really is! The dr side is that bright though!
