Yea I have heard them recomended before and they have the dual beam kit...but its nearly $300. How much of an advantage do the dual beams have over the singles? FYI: My high beams now are worse than most vehicles normal lights. (silverstar bulbs with smoked headlights from BOI)

It cost me like $250 shipped for the hi/lo kit after the coupon code was entered.
The code is MForums and knocked off like $15

lol... I've got that same combo, and I've been debating whether or not to upgrade to some HID's.. But then again, my wallet says no. :'( :'(

10000k are you kidding? 6000k is the highest I would ever go after about 4800k dont they start getting less bright and just start going blue then purple? I think id go 5000k if it were me.

i think thats right, the lower the number the brighter the light :dunno: im trying to find the site where i got that info

edit: okay its the lower the number the whiter the light... here's the link to the Mustang Dual Beam HID Headlight Conversion Kit for 94-08 at Stangmods.com... they've got some video of different cars using the lights. the 6000Ks look pretty sweet!

I'm definitely doing at least 8000K, I have 6000K headlight bulbs right now and i want my HIDs to be more blue. As long as the lumens are the same then yes, the higher the number you go the lower the light output. 10000K is a very blue light, 12000K is violet.

True 4300k is pure white, and ideal for anyone who wants the most out of their lighting. Depending on the manufacturer, 4300k bulbs can have a hint of blue. Any number that moves away from that, either up or down, creates a decrease in usable light.

But an increase in sex appeal :pimp2:

Here's a pic, the foglight bulbs are 6000K, sorry it's not the best example. The headlights have 6000K bulbs in them too, you can see the bluish tint. They produce a nice clean light, I just want more blue next time. Every time i see a car with HIDs I think the color looks so awesome...

My 4300k have a slight blue tint to them but just alittle. My Lexus had 8000k and they were really blue and annoyed me but they worked really well.

damn those do look pretty good in the pics, of course they never do them justice. I was expecting them to look more blue, do they in person?
