I don't have any dyno sheets or whatnot... but I wouldn't expect anything more than a 5hp difference AT MOST. The biggest bottleneck in our cars is the heads. The difference between catted and offroad is pretty small. I just run an O/R because it sounds better.

To be completely honest I suffered a slight accelleration loss when I pulled my cats off. I think it has something to do with the backpressure helping the lower end torque. But didn't stop me from leaving them off. The sound alone makes catless 100% worth it. If you want your Mustang to sound like a Mustang should, go catless. That's just my .02 :)

Just a few horse ponys...Not a big enough diff to worry about. Half the guys out there buy exhaust for the sound not the horsepower anyways

Heads up and ass kickin! Using Tapatalk 2

I'm running Pypes violator mufflers and they're a flow through design. I say that first because I've ran an o/r H and a catted H and X (Emission testing in Ga.)
With the o/r H I also felt a little loss in torque in the butt dyno.
As for sound. It was LOUD. Really LOUD. At WOT my car could be heard a mile away, and it didn't sound that good either. Very blatty.
The catted X I'm running now quiets it down enough to sound still like a Mustang and not be rediculously loud.

Yeah you will see little if any difference. In the past I ran a off road H but went with a catted X on my current car simply because I don't want to have to swap out my midpipe every 2 years when my annual emissions check is due.

emissions in Ga is every frigging year.. I did swap it out every year for a couple years and just got tired of it.
