Im going to be buying my first car within a month, a 94-98 GT/cobra and I was just wondering what's too high for miles? There's a 94 GT vert with about 90k miles for 4900 (Canadian). My father seems convinced that buying a car with that many miles on it will result in every penny I make going towards the car. I think otherwise. If anyone owns/has owned high mileage cars (100k+) what were they like? were they money pits? The car has/will have all routine maintenance so I'm not worried about the actual engine going on it. just everything around the engine. haha. (I also know several mechanics who have said they will work on the car with me and teach me in the process, so labor costs will be minimal. just the cost of the parts themselves.)
