ok i need more of a drop in the cobra....it has a eibach pro kit ...and with the new wheels im getting i want it low ..its not really that low and i cant see spending money for new springs when it has new springs on it ...so how much lower can it go with removing the iso's? is it worth doing? i will do the tape trick so it wont be metal to metal rubbing and the noise and all that ...but looking around most kits dont lower the IRS all that much so what are my options? help guys

About 1/4 inch, not worth it to me. It's basically a spring install, for a 1/4 of an inch of drop.

You could cut a 1/4 coil, or put more crap in the trunk, lol. Otherwise, you're stuck getting new springs.

they are rubber pieces on the top and bottom of your springs and there, there to make the car smother over bumps and not make the ride as rough
and if a 1/4 inch is a big deal to you do it. i got changing my springs down to a art form under a hour to change them all lol

a good dremel, or sawzall will cut coils off springs... i've done it before to my old '99... the Iso's thing isn't worth it to me... it's done on my '95, but not that much of a difference.

dude, that must be one badass dremel to cut through that much metal, or you just have the patience to sit there for a billion hours to cut it... The easiest thing i have found to cut springs is a angle grinder, they are inexpensive and it will take you 30 seconds to cut through the springs.

Nope, you can find others who have cut and see how much they dropped, that's why I said 1/4 though, it's trial and error. I'd take baby steps.

1/2 a coil on the fronts is equal to about a .5 to.75" drop on the pro kit from what i've seen

is it possible to just cut the stock springs to lower the car?
it would be ok on his cobra becuase he has progressive rate springs. I wouldnt recommend it of yours.
