+1. around here to find a stock fox is still a high milege one. a stock 87-89 gt with those miles around here would bring a solid
$4500. 91-93 slightly more. post pics!

you know Ive been looking at fox cars for months now every day and the prices typically are between 3 to 5 grand normally. Those are the cars that have 100x miles on them, have mods weather it be gears and exhaust or something really big, not to mention that those cars look like.........20 year old cars. Then there is the upper scale ones, that are rather clean, and such and go for a grand or so more. This one falls in the few and far between fox cars, but the price they are trying to get is ( in some peoples eyes) at least 1500 OVER what its worth. I can see two sides to this, look and try to find a STOCK fox car, super clean, with say...less than 75k miles on it. They are not sitting on every street corner for sale, so in that view I can see the price being high, now on the other hand is this price excessive even given the condition of this car?? Should it be in the high 6k range, like 6800??

That would be almost 2k over what fox cars normaly go for. Hmmmmmmm :dunno:

I bought a 93 Notchback a few years back it. It was BONE STOCK still had the Air silencer in the air box. It was Black w/ all black interior. It was a 5.0 with a 5 speed. It was in mint condition. It only had 37k mi and a 1 owner car. I paid $7800 for it.

If it helps any, last spring we sold an 88 LX, 55k, One owner, that was virtually untouched besides some 3:55's and a battery relocation, for 7,500. We had been asking 8k. We had a lot of people try and offer us the usual 5k or even 3,500 for it, but it just took the right guy to realize what a nice car that actually was to pay the price we were looking for. IMO, the price is a little high for that one, but if you could get one that clean for 6.5- 7k id run with it.

They can get that much money for it. There are people who had these cars when they were kids, and now they "have money" and want their car back. They don't care about spending $7-9K on a car that's in great shape because it's still one third of what a new car costs. There's been uber-clean notches selling for $9K+ on the interwebz that I've seen.

I dunno much about these cars but that one is a gem. I do know they have a problem with rusting out around the rear windows Brian. Check that out. The rubber goes bad.

Thanks for all the input guys :)

Do what you got to do. I've been around these cars for a long time, and I'd pay $7500 for it, clean foxes are just damn hard to find. I got a buddy's dad with a 87 GT with T-tops with 30,000 on it bone stock, I'd give him $10,000 for it and give it to my son in 4 yrs, but the guy won't sell it.
