HP vs. MPG

I'm curious to see how everyone else is fairing when it comes to filling up at the pumps.

This last tank, I got an average of 13mpg. Both city, highway, and "beat on it" driving. I tried to get a little of everything in this tank to get an overall idea of what the car does.

I'd like for everyone to post up there RWHP/RWTQ numbers and their gas mileage. Also list the type of driving during that test.

Starting off:
475/475 - 13mpg

Low 300hp range, sorry no dyno numbers yet. Around 16 average in the city, usually 26 on the highway.

I have a lead foot in-city and I'm also catless with no tune/MIL's.

Last tank I calculated was @ 19mpg avg and the car is making roughly 240-250rwhp as its sitting. I was getting about that same MPG when I had the P&P'd heads/Cams on so I think my tires and a few other factors have lowered my efficiency.

you is correct sir, im following them on the interstate, and i suddenly hear both of them downshift and take off like bats outta hell. im like "oh fuck, i dont where we are going" i had to WOT it for a full solid minute before catching back up with them.

they did that a few times throughout the trip, but in the end, i lol'd when they had to stop for gas

250rwhp 258rwt I ave about 18-20mpg city/hwy combined. My car has 172k on the clock.

Somewhere between 250-300rwhp untuned HCI 5.0L is pulling me 13mpg in the city right now, for the 1 highway trip I did I got 21mpg going 80mph.

i was making just under 300 to the tire, and would get low teens in town and about 17 hwy... for some reason i went from about 22-23 hwy to 17 after a tune.. i dono

298hp/334tq, I make about 15-18 in town and 19-22 on the freeway, depending on the weather and average speed. the latest trip i made 20mpg at 80mph with the cruise control on.

I 480HP, and I got 24mpg highway last time I checked.

When my car was stock (380rwhp range) with 3.55's I would get 21-22 intown 25-26 on the highway.
Upper pulley on stock eaton (482/483) with 3.73's I would get 18-20 intown and 23-25 on the highway.
Whipple @ 16psi (569/517) with 4.10's I get about 16-18 intown and around 20-21 on the highway if I cruise under 70.
This is all with "spirited driving". I don't beat on my car but I will say everytime I drive the gas pedal meets the floor at least once or twice. Sometimes more. I check my mileage everytime I get gas. It's a good habit to get into. You will be able to see if you have a small problem before it gets big.

Id say im anywhere between 250-300 with the new 4.10 gears im getting 20 in town and 22 on the highway.....and thats all babying it like i have eggs, if i play around in town i get 18.....way better overall gas mileage than with my old 3.08s
