I GOT SCREWED BY SUMMITT RACING

well guys I think I got it up the A$@ but im not going into this crap any more. I talked to Summitt three times yesterday, first call was from them to me.......they told me that Eibach did not include shackles in the Kit ( EVEN THOUGH SUMMITT WAS MISSLEADING IN THE ADD BECAUSE IT SAYS * SPRINGS - HANGERS/SHACKELS * ) so she said she will call them back and see what they can work out. 3 hours pass and I dont get a call, so I call them back, they say that Eibach still says the same so Summitt says they will cover the cost of the shacks and send them too me. Then about 20 minutes later I get a call BACK FROM SUMMITT, its a MAN this time and he goes into the ITS NOT A PART OF THE KIT, AND WE PUT HANGERS SHACKELS ON THE AD SO THAT YOU KNOW ITS NOT A BLOCK LOWERING KIT. At this point I am really pissed off and I say OK fine im not going to continue this any longer, I am a unhappy customer and I feel im getting screwed by Eibach and YOUR allowing them to by not making this right. Your ad says Hangers/Shackels but you dont want to give me what the ad says. This ends my relationship with Summitt dont send me any more of your books because I am NOT ORDERING FROM YOU ANY LONGER. Then he says ( again sir, the shackles are NOT ) but I dont let him finish, I hang up the damn phone. Good news is the L is done and im happy with the stance , Ill get pics up soon. So do you guys feel im in the right or wrong?? The rpm outlet kit is titled the same and it has shacks on it also, but I got it from Summitt because of RPM's history with customer service........like the screw job I got from Summitt.

hell D I have talked to them 3 times yesterday and twice the day before and every time they say that the shackels are NOT a part of the kit and I say it is. So its me aginst them ( Summitt + Eibach ) im fighting a battle I cant win. Its pLain as day on RPM outlet and it was on summitt until they changed their add :mad:. EIBACH COMPLETE PRO TRUCK SYSTEM - SPRINGS / HANGERS / SHACKLES

ehhhh, I will just get the same crap I got yesterday. They will say its not a part of the kit and now since they have CHANGED THIER ADD I dont have proof of what it said when I bought it. The title is the same as the one RPMOUTLET has but with that being a different company Ill still be getting screwed. If the truck did not turn out the way I wanted I would go on with this, but since It did I guess thats why my heart is not into following this further.

oh they will as far as Im concerned, I will NOT EVER buy anything from them and I hope they loose customers by seeing what happend to me. I totally got it stuck up my :ass3: by them.........and they let Eibach do it. If I thought calling would do good I would, but damn I have talked to them half a dozen times and too 3 diffrent people and I get the same story every time " its not a part of the kit" :slap: :slap: :slap: :slap:

Have you called Eibach or done research to determine if the shackles are indeed part of the Part Number you purchased from Summit? Post up your receipt showing the PN you purchased. If that PN from Eibach indicates it includes (such and such) parts, and that is not what was delivered for the agreed price, then you might have some leg to stand on. If not...

I've always had good luck with Summit, and although no company is perfect, their customer service is FAR better than most in the automotive parts industry.

im not at the shop so I dont have the box or the recipt :(, I had summitt do a PRICE MATCH with RPMOUTLET. Summitt's orginal price was 380 bucks and RPM had it for 299 so I called and they did the verification check and sold it to me for 200 = the price match

JEGS FTW! i HATE summit racing.. my best buddy owns a 67 goat (gto).. 350 in it.. we went to rebuild it, ordered all the bearings from summit.. they sent the wrong ones, in the right box marked 0 over, the machine shop didnt plastigauge them, we trusted summit and the race shop.. and it totaled the crank. We called up summit and said they F***ed us over with the bearings and the LEAST they could do was replace the crank that they took out. They said they'd send us new bearings, and thats it. /rant.. it was my best buddys car, it pisted me off to see it happen to him

Please tell me you're kidding. That error should have been caught by your buddy. If he missed it, it should have been caught by his engine builder. Who builds a motor and doesn't check tolerances?

How the hell is a performance company supposed to stay in business if they pay for the poor workmanship of someone else?

Nobody takes accountability for anything these days...

Your not familiar with RPMoutlet???????? You dont get on carforums much then ;D Go over to SVTP and ask thier opinion on rpmoutlet :mad: they got kicked OFF as a vendor because of poor customer service. Go to NLOC.net and ask them.......there are a LOT of members that has had trouble with them.....

its funny, the exact same problem im having is what people have with RPMOUTLET. So thats why I got them from summitt

summits online store always seemed weird to me ... and they messed w/l-struck which means if I ever get something that's not a company car, I'll send them no money...

had the machine shop do it.. if summit hadnt sent the wrong ones in the first place, it wouldnt have happened.. duh

I don't go to SVTP - those guys are primarily a bunch of douchebags who don't do much but post pictures of their cars that are washed 12 times a week, and ask what kind of headlights they should buy. I prefer more substantive car forums.

Like I mentioned earlier, find and post your box and receipt. Find and cross-reference the PN that you ordered to Eibach's website. If you were not shipped all the parts included in the PN you purchased at an agreed price, then they owe you parts.

Didn't the truck turn out okay anyway? What did the shop do?

If the machine shop had done their job and checked the parts they were installing, it wouldn't have happened. Do you also blame Phillip-Morris for all the people who get lung cancer from cigarettes?
