It's better for driveability mainly, and part's availablility. It's pretty simple to throw in a GT(supercar) pump and have as much capability as you need. There's no need for an aftermarket, what would they supply? No band aid regulators or any of that nonesense.Of course when they first appeared everyone was all worried, just like when fuel injection and overdrive appeared, and figuring out how to rip it off and go backwards.
