Seen a 5.0 94-95 mustang today with a pretty OLD guy driving it. The thing sounded so smooth and loud. THe idle sounded like birds chipping with flowmasters. (prochamber?) but the thing was so loud but he wasnt driving hard. It was just accelerating in traffic at low RPMS. While i had to drive mine up to 3500-4500 RPM just to make some damn noise. I hate my nonpi engine.. i want something loud and sexy as his.

The thing is i owned a o/r prochamber and flows and got rid of it because it was to quiet. I got an o/r H and flows it was okay but sounded BLATTY. So what the fook. That means i need engine work done in order to get a LOUD car with the prochamberor o/r pipe :angry4: :angry4: :angry4: :angry4: :angry4: :angry4: :angry4: :angry4: :angry4: :angry4: :angry4: :angry4: :angry4: :angry4: :angry4:

Back to the Original Post try just putting a straight pipe in place of your muffs. Mine sounds damn good sitting at idle. I have gotten a ton of compliments on it. Now above 3 grand it starts to get a little too raspy for me. Not sure if your into that though. Just a thought

i love the sound of a pushrod engine.. 4.6's are unique... but can sound good.. i love my setup.. BBK LT's, bassani o/r X and straight pipe to the rear.. with my cam thumpin at idle... sounds GOOD!!! not like straight headers. it has that high pitched tone that screams! sounds a exactly like this

that car has a dr. gas x pipe on it thats why it has that tone at the higher rpms. besides whats so cool about a stupid loud car. cars with engines that have higher compression, better flowing heads and a good exhaust system will be louder anyway. imo a car with a tuned exhaust system sounds better than something that just makes a bunch of noise.

My video sucks but it's 4.6l npi engine, magnapacks on catted stock H pipe. I'm looking at taking off the catted stock H and putting on a MAC o/r H. I think it sounds great in real life and I get tons of compliments but the still camera wasn't really meant to do video so this is the best I could come up with....

I hear ya about the No money thing. I went from Managing a shop making a little over 50 a year to Home depot that pays half that. GDawg for a stock H pipe your car sounds badass, when I had flowmasters and my stock H pipe on it almost sounded stock at idle, and it lost all it's bark when compared to the offroad Prochamber.

Any of you guys noticed a difference between running dumps and stock tailpipes? I still have stock tailpipes on mine which are insanely terrible looking with a pypes o/r x-pipe and borla mufflers. It sounds amazing... just wondering if it'd be louder with dumps because buying new tailpipes is not on my to do list at the moment...
