Even is it was the SS vs 5.0 I think the weight difference and the aerodynamics would be the Mustangs advantage. Now for all out just brute force the 2013 or whatever the new GT500 is and the ZL1 would be the way to go. The Camaro still has a bigger motor and the Supercharger on top of that.

Yet another retarded comparison, as mentioned it should've been the GT500 vs. ZL1, or the SS vs. the GT. This is like comparing an SS to a V6 Mustang, no shit Sherlock the SS would win.

The losers over on www.challengertalk.com compare their 392 Hemi cars that cost $50k to the $30k SS and GT and talk about how fast they are, completely oblivious to the fact that they should be comparing the sled R/T, and comparing their 392 to the GT500. I started a shit storm over there when I asked when Chrysler would get it with their 470 hp top of the line $50k Challenger being the best they have to go against 180 hp MORE GT500 and 100+ hp more ZL1, and they suddenly started talking about how great it is to have trunk space and how they don't need any more power lol.

I can somewhat understand comparing everything to the SS since as of right now it's the top model, but all these comparisons are a model off in their comparisons. Should be GT/SS/RT and GT500/ZL1/SRT since those are the equivalent models in the equal price brackets.

Reading that a GT500 smoked an SS is really nothing to brag about when the car costs $20k more. It's like picking on the retarded kid in class and being proud of it.
