You don't have to understand why they think as they do, you just need to accept that authority, they are your parents.You can present your case with your desires in a reasonable fashion but if they make a final decision to say no, that's it! It is a sign of maturity to be able to accept setbacks & delays in life, to not to make a federal case out of having a want (not a necessity) denied or delayed. That is life & it will be the same when you are an adult! Just because you really want it you won't be able to just go get it! Gotta pay the rent first & food & gas & utilities & ....you get the picture. To be sneaky & underhanded in attempting to thwart your parents decisions reveals lots about your character! The little decisions you make in everyday life shape who you are. Always be proud to look at that person in the mirror!</blockquote>
