That’s pretty cool Info with the switch on the iac . 94/95 cars love to hang the rpm very annoying . I was able to get it dialed in nicely after switching to Holley

I was the same way. I hear it is the same withe the stock system you just have to know how to do it and not many people care enough to know now.

I thought it was controlled by a small worm gear in which case I don't think a spring would close it all the way, and you would not want it 100% closed except at that perfect temp. I am willing to bet when you unplugged it the motor had already idled down to where it would idle happy at the current temp and that would make sense then that when you cut the switch that it holds that position and does not open back up when you hit the clutch. Blak can probably straighten us out.
Well I have the idle turned up some from stock so I can turn the switch off about 30 seconds after cold start and still be ok. With a stock idle, you probably wanna keep the switch on until the thermostat opens or just about.

I have made a video demonstrating my setup for you guys here, I am going to try and post it on here.

EDIT: I am not able to figure out how to post it here and YouTube is having errors posting it so I am going to private message you guys asking for your email. I will send the video there. I’ve messaged ttocs, and badass98svt. If anyone else is interested, message me.

I think that should do it. Originally I made about a 13 minute video showing the whole setup, but due to my low disk space, I couldn’t upload it. I’ve trimmed it to 4 minutes, showing the switch in action, and driving around to show the lack of rev hang.

I will be deleting this video by next week. I really don’t like being online much, but in the meantime, hope this helps!
