That’s pretty cool Info with the switch on the iac . 94/95 cars love to hang the rpm very annoying . I was able to get it dialed in nicely after switching to Holley
Well I have the idle turned up some from stock so I can turn the switch off about 30 seconds after cold start and still be ok. With a stock idle, you probably wanna keep the switch on until the thermostat opens or just about.I thought it was controlled by a small worm gear in which case I don't think a spring would close it all the way, and you would not want it 100% closed except at that perfect temp. I am willing to bet when you unplugged it the motor had already idled down to where it would idle happy at the current temp and that would make sense then that when you cut the switch that it holds that position and does not open back up when you hit the clutch. Blak can probably straighten us out.
