Don't just do it!

Not a full write up here... I had a client with a 2010 Audi A6 contact me. Apparently he hired somebody to polish his car for him, who then decided he would try to sand the paint. This is just a before and after shot of the hood. Not sure what the guy was thinking. Clearly did not do it right... and part way through the "job" he called the client to explain that "The paint is not reacting well and I can't continue."

Impressive right?

Before...

I wet sanded the panel lightly with 3000 grit, followed by 5000 grit.. (Properly!) Here's a half/half shot.

And finally the end result!

Needless to say, my client was VERY happy after this, and so was I ;)

I can't stress this enough with anything from detailing to painting. Before you have someone do anything on your car, make sure you see what they've done before or at the minimum have a recommendation from someone you know and you can see their car.

People are idiots. Why not get a panel at a junk yard to learn with instead of a expensive car.
