Ok guys I'm replacing my stock h pipe with an off road pipe and I cannot get the stock one off!!! It's 5:30pm here and I'm running out of daylight!! I've removed every damn nut except the one on the O2 sensor side of the passenger header. Does anyone know how to get to this one to get it off? I've got extensions, universal joint and both standard and deepwell sockets. Why wont this thing come out. It looks like the universal joint is binding on itself. WTF!!! Somebody please help!!! My cell is 803-629-8120 if anyone knows how to walk someone through this over the phone please call me as I'm working on it right now.

I really don't know.. i've heard you can loosen up bolts warming them with a little propane torch but i'm not sure using a torch under your car's a great idea and i'm not not sure what's around the particular bolt either.

Ok I tried and tried and I cannot get the nut loose. I've got it soaking in Penetrating Oil now and hopefully tomorrow afternoon I can break it loose. I'll keep you guys posted. Thanks to DuffDaddy for calling and texts that I received. My hands were really dirty and couldn't respond but thanks for the help.

to get the fixed flange bolts out it took a 3 foot breaker bar and a 3 foot cheater bar and two of us putting our weight on on it ( approx 450 lbs of weight on a 6 foot bar with a jack in place for the head of the breaker to stay in place. took 2 hours to get those two bolts out.

I never knew they were that big a PITA. When i had my headers installed the shop through on my X for free since the headers cost so much so i've never taken mine off. I guess i'll find out soon when i remove it to weld in the bung for the wideband.

Bob its not that bad, his major issue was that he didnt have the right extentions and joints (u and wobble) in the right places.

Well of course it's raining now and supposed to rain for the rest of the week!!!!! Man what I wouldn't give for a garage and a lift. I'll keep everyone posted as soon as I can get back to work on it. No garage and rain, man what a combo!

pb blaster soaked on nuts. 14-15mm on a universal swivel drive. with long extension and cheater bar. be patient. on your back and laying on the floor is a PITA. i had to kick mine with someone trusting me as they held it. old fashioned blunt force trauma.
