In a bad place!!!

Someone at work said that I should start the car and let it run for a few minutes to warm the bolt. Is this a good idea? I already have it loose everywhere else except the hangers. It would probably be extremely loud right? All 02 sensors out. Idk it's not supposed to rain tomorrow so I'll take another day off to try again. I did soak it down again today so hopefully tomorrow will yeild better results. To be continued.....

I used a combo of the following:
PB Blaster(left on the bolt for like a day to soak in.) Followed by a propane torch and then hammering on a socket with a sledge to "shock" the bolt, then quickly followed by 2 people on a breaker bar.

Came out no problem........After 2 hours

Ok so I'm by myself trying get this damn thing off while lying on the ground. I'm ashamed to say that I'm throwing in the towel and going to a muffler shop. Gonna cost $100 but it will be worth it to finally be done with this project. Wish I had a better outcome but at least I'm ending up with the same result. Anybody want the stocker? I have it listed in the classified section, not even sure what it's worth so anyone interested just make an offer and the best one get's it. Thanks to everyone.

Ok just got back from the shop and man what a difference! WOW! The sh*ty VForce mufflers will be next to go but it really sounds nice now. Thanks again to everyone who tried to help but trying to do this job with the car on ramps with just one person is near impossible. I'm sure that some with better tools and patience may be able to get that nut loose but I don't have that kind of time with working two jobs and all. You guys are great and thanks again.

Ok, now that the pipe is on and the stang is sounding nasty I have a black residue in the passenger tailpipe that wasn't there before. It's not thick yet but the pipe has only been on for one day. What can I do to prevent this from happening. I certainly don't want to look like some honda with a cheap muffler and a black bumper on a white car!!!!

did you put a new mid pipe on it...?? or a used one

Is the mid pipe the one that goes between the two pipes to the mufflers that make the "h"? If so then yes I had to put in a new one and the pipe was too wide and would not fit so we had to cut and remove some of the section. If that's not it, then nothing else was replaced.

the mid pipe, is the pipe between the mufflers and the headers. either x pipe or h pipe. i know you said you put an off road h pipe on it. The H pipe you got was it a new one or old one?

the black residue is unburned fuel. the cats were what was keeping that from happening. this is something you'll have to live with on an offroad pipe. i'm actually suprised a shop was willing to install it considering all 50 states require them and installing a modification that deletes them is illegal.

aside from that... you could always weld in some high flow cats =)

he's right...you'll have that with off road mid pipes. mine is like that..a little although i'm wondering why its so much if you're saying its spitting out enough to throw it on the back bumper. I have an off road x pipe and granted I have some black sut, in my tail pipes nothing that will come out everywhere when i rev the motor up or anything.

most likely he's also burning oil. another reason black residue would be there so quickly... unburned fuel sticks and gets thick really quick. i was worried about it when i first did my H pipe swap also because of the smoke i was seeing coming out of the pipes... soon remembered i used a Healthy dose of PB blaster and it was just burning off through the pipe.

It could easily be burnt oil. these NPI cars are known for valve guide/seal wear as they age. I put on my O/R X pipe and immediately noticed an increase in soot/black deposits. Just live with it...

No it's not spitting anything and my bumper isn't black but we've all seen the cars with the autozone mufflers that turn the back bumper black right over the tailpipe. I didn't want my car to look like that but as long as it's normal then I'm not worried. It's not a lot but I got some on my finger when I wiped the inside of the pipe. My concern was that it was only on the passenger side. Yes this is a used mid pipe and was definitely black on the inside. Thanks again to everyone and be on the lookout for the sound video to be posted this weekend after the detailing and transmission service.
