In the 80's, I owned a car I loved more than any car I have ever loved. I owned it for 2 weeks, at a cost of $150, and couldn't afford to fix it and had to give it up. Go ahead and laugh, it was an Olds Delta 88. The nicest car I could ever afford, back then. I remember nothing other than it was blue, huge, and I loved it. Am now on a quest to get another one. Does anybody know how I can get a list from DMV of cars I've owned, so I can find out the exact car I had (probably almost 20 years ago). I am on their site, but am lost...

call who!? I owned it for 2 weeks and bought it used for $150! Only remember it was the first car I owned with electric windows and I thought it was the shit! (tho I know now, it was NOT, lol). But thinking i want it again, maybe that car was the key to hapiness...

Absolutely a boat.... more like a ship, if my bad memory serves... not fast, and something along the lines of a big embarrassing cadillac... but cool just cause it was so dorky and ghetto (no offense intended). Thinking I might be able to make it cool, tho... a project car... Rocket 455...

To bad you don't live around here. I know of a few streets that on any given night you can find 3-5 Delta 88s with no rims just sitting on the side of the road for the taking. :coolsmiley:

lol i wouldn't put you in the "old" category until you buy an oldsmobile or buick.

You sir are very wrong, FACTORY, Buick has the Turbo T-type and the Grand National... I don't think you could constitute anyone who drives either of those old, as much as you could say they are car conesoirs(sp?) as for Olds... I had a 2 door '87 Cutlass that with a 350 and Nitrous in it, would haul balls to the wall... then i blew it up with a little to much spray, and a hispanic guy who wanted it for the interior bought it from me for $1000 :hammer:

In the 80's a guy that was a friend of a friend had a 1970-something Olds 88 or 98 too, can't remember which one. I cut the hood for him so he could put a functional scoop on it. Yeah, it was a Big ol' racing scoop. He had the car jacked up with air shocks and everything.

A loooonnnggg time ago I tried to locate one of my Dad's cars through the BMV and they said they only kept records for 10 years. So if you don't have a VIN you are probably out of luck.

I think I am going to get one, but not yet, marking it down for when I have no debt, lol, and don't think I'm going to look for the same one I had, I am thinking I will go for an older one, when I'm ready.

u ever heard of a 87 grand national. they were faster than our cars. :boink: and the 70 olds 442 and buick gs stage 1 would walk all over our little mustangs. and no it woul actually be easier to make that car fast than ours. mild 455 th400 2500 stall 3.42 gear, 12 sec car and streetable.
