A good friend of mine owns a carbon fiber (Real carbon fiber) business (G3 Composites LLC). He & I have been friends for over 10 years.

We're both enthusiasts as well, of course. All supplies are sourced from the USA & all work is done in the USA (He is based in FL)

I am posting to gauge interest on what folks may want.

I'd be happy to become a vendor if there was enough interest.

Here is a link to some of the work he has done:

Thanks,
Tom

I've learned a long time ago, that one off stuff is always really expensive, mostly because of the labor it takes to make that first mold and make sure that everything as it should be. The only way to turn profit on stuff like this is to make around 20 - 30 items, and sell those at a decent price.

For most molds, I need at least 5 committed buyers. However, for all wraps it can be as a one off & this really is the way to go if you're just doing it for looks.

I'd be looking for a set of wider front fenders that look stock, and have vents behind the wheel. I don't think there is a large market for something like this.

Unless you wanted to front the development cost with the opportunity to earn that money back, I'd need another 4 committed buyers.

what do you make the molds out of? How much do you think it would be to make some of these assuming we could get more then 5 as I am sure I have had more then 5 people contact me after seeing them on my cardomain page? This is a plug I made for a mold a while back - I have fiberglass exp but never made a mold myself. I know a number of people here have asked me about them but I have been afraid to mess up the plug by messing up the mold....
