a fuel pump that flows at 155 lph, 190 lph, or 255 lph? would it really hurt to have a pump that flow more then necessary or rather just un needed?

I just don't think flowing extra fuel can heat it up THAT much when you consider how much gas is in the tank.
True, I agree mostly. Duff hits the nail on the head, cooler fuel is better, BUT, you are NOT going to overheat fuel with a tiny little 255 lph in tank pump. Now, get into my Weldon pump on my race car, and YEAH, it's gonna heat up the fuel in my 5 gallon cell. If I rode it around on the street long enough it would. But to the OP's question, no, put the 255 in it, you need the volume to keep up with your now close to 300 hp. gotta let it eat. I would always run a GSS340 in tank pump, hell my 4 cyl has one in it, lol. Just enough pump to grow with(the 4 cyl is gonna be an E85 turbo). Hope this helps.OnyxCobra said:According to Kenne Bell if you run too large of a fuel pump you end up recirculating the fuel more which in tern heats it up and lowers it's octane, which I honestly thing is a BS statement that allows them to sell more Boost-a-Pumps.
