is there any disadvantage between these three?

a fuel pump that flows at 155 lph, 190 lph, or 255 lph? would it really hurt to have a pump that flow more then necessary or rather just un needed?

wellllllllll what year is your car, return or returnless fuel set up...im thinking you probibly have a retrun setup. Why do you need the new fuel pump? and from what I can see you dont really have any "power mods" depending on what your HCI trickflow set up was. Is it enough to warrent the larger pump really...

According to Kenne Bell if you run too large of a fuel pump you end up recirculating the fuel more which in tern heats it up and lowers it's octane, which I honestly thing is a BS statement that allows them to sell more Boost-a-Pumps. I just don't think flowing extra fuel can heat it up THAT much when you consider how much gas is in the tank.

Its really not, warmer fuel has been proven to be less effiecent then cooler fuel. Also when you have the recirculated fuel its not gonna be a consistant temp as if you ran a returnless set up and its all coming from the same tank/temp.

True, I agree mostly. Duff hits the nail on the head, cooler fuel is better, BUT, you are NOT going to overheat fuel with a tiny little 255 lph in tank pump. Now, get into my Weldon pump on my race car, and YEAH, it's gonna heat up the fuel in my 5 gallon cell. If I rode it around on the street long enough it would. But to the OP's question, no, put the 255 in it, you need the volume to keep up with your now close to 300 hp. gotta let it eat. I would always run a GSS340 in tank pump, hell my 4 cyl has one in it, lol. Just enough pump to grow with(the 4 cyl is gonna be an E85 turbo). Hope this helps.

I didn't mean it was bs that warmer fuel is less efficient, but more I don't think it's going to make a noticeable difference in a street application. By the time the small amount of "warmer" fuel returns to the tank and mixes with the rest of the gas in the thank, it's probably not going to re-enter the pump still warm from the pump the first time.

well i think my fuel pump went out on me and a stock replacement is the same cost as a 255 lph. the reason i am think of going with the 255 lph is because i plan to supercharger my motor as soon as i can lol so i cant see the logic in replacing the fuel pump twice. i mean i cant see it hurting anything on my na motor right noe...just cuz the pump can push that much fuel its still regulated by the injectors and fuel regulator anyways right?

I would put the 255 in, cuz those stupid gaskets around the filler nozzle on the tank are expensive, might as well do it once, and be done. from your sig, you are well on your way to needing a bigger pump soon. On the subject of fuel mods, make sure you buy a good FPR, the BBK ones suck... Kirban is the way to go.

I still think KB says it to sell more boost-a-pumps. That way you can have a low volume fuel pump for around town and then when you want to race it you can turn up the volume with the boost a pump so you can have more fuel when you need it. I just went with a 255.
