issues with my 96GT

The brake light comes on every 2-3 months, I put new brake pads, turned my rotors, and added new brake fluid a few months ago and the light has came on twice since then. I do know my hydro booster(the power steering and brakes run off the same pump I was told and can tell!) is going out and Im wondering if thats causing it. The light comes on when I slow down to stop and then at times it will just stay on the whole time Im driving.
If you have any idea whats going on lmk, all info would help.

Are you talking about the ABS light, or the actual emergency brake light?

I am having the same problem. I can be driving down the road not on the brakes at all and it will come on. I was thinking it may be the ABS module.

Its the actual e-brake light. It will go off and if I hit a bump or push the brakes it will come on every once in awhile but lately its been staying on constantly.

inside the e-brake lever area is a bolt that grounds the e-brake. if its a loose connection or a short it will cause it to intermittently to come on or not come on. my only crack at that is to check it out. i would also to check for leaks by the master cylinder or vaccum leaks around the master cylinder bell.

Thank you very much. Im leaning towards a connection problem, I hit a bump earlier and it went off and has been off ever since HA!
