ok, what motor can i swap in there (94 cobra)...can i use any 302 with the gt40 heads and cobra plenum?
or does it have to be a cobra short block?

you can do any thing you want if your keeping the stock headers and such you need a 302. You could just get a shortblock form DSS or Centralcoast or something..... or a stock 5.0 replacemnet from Summitt if they still have them.

if it were me I would do a stroker with heads or a windsor but thats just me

if you wanna keep it simple you can use any 5.0 from 89-95 preferably but if I were you id throw in a DOHC 4.6

I like the stroker idea.... but a stronger block wouldn't be a bad place to start if your plan on modding further. Nice fun project.
