It is built to do this with a solid plastic back that is pretty strong.... you will then be able to see the contact points where it mounts to the motors...Get some RTV & dab it on all the contact points generously & line up the mirror & push it firmly back on!!! I let mine sit for 24 hrs to set up & it solved the problems 100%...been good for a few years now...cost me $zero bucks as I had the RTV!  Don't be scared you won't break the glass unless you drop it!
