Okay so i recently purchased a 1996 Mustang Gt as my new project. Im looking to have a 450whp reliable street machine that i can drive to the track on the weekends. Because of this...i have chosen to order the MMR 2v 900 shortblock with compression of 9.1. I plan on using a kenne bell to get the light to light performance im looking for. I have a couple questions and also would like yalls opinions on anything. For heads and cams im thinking i will have them looked over by a machine shop for now and use stock. Ive thought about doing a PI Head and cam swap, will that make my compression go up? And if i do that swap how much gain will i get and is it worth it?? Also thought about just porting stock heads and using blower cam. On the kenne bell website the only blower they make for my car is the 2.1L. The offroad pully says it will put psi at 14 max. Will that be enough to put me where i want to be? Also it comes with optional intercooler...at say 14 psi will this be enough to keep my air temps down for everyday driving without the use of a meth kit?? I also want this thing to really perform when i take it to the track. So ill prob be running spray along with the blower. I think this will be a good option cause it will let me run lower boost for everyday driving, but give me the extra hp at the track while keeping temp down. Do you thing my block and compression will be able to hold up to this? Sorry for so many questions just trying to sort everything out and start the build!! Thanks
