What is the difference between the stock clutch and the king cobra as far as actual parts go? I think the King Cobra is rated to 375 rwhp right? :dontknow:

A dealer on the corral says he'll sell me the kit for 175.00, just wanna make sure I'm gettin what I pay for. I don't wanna be in the 5% of his negative feed back. Is that a good deal? :dontknow:

King Cobra holds more horsepowers than stock. The clutch disc and pressure plate are different than factory clutches. Yes, that's a good deal. Buy it.

I don't think any clutch is rated in rwhp. If you don't have a lot of horsepowers now, I'm sure it will be fine for you. Everybody around here seems to think its awesome to spend a ton of money on a clutch they don't need.

Well I'm putting a 347 and some Ported GT40's 1.94/1.6 TFS stage 2 and porting my lower the guy told me it would hold 375 RWHP I don't know if he took the rating and took away 15% or what? I am just guessing I'll be right around 350-400 hp? I don't wanna get a stage 5000 clutch because I am still running the WCT5 and would rather have the clutch go than the tranny. Any suggestions?

You'll be fine with that Clutch. A Good majority of clutch's are still made by Sachs anyway. Just more clamping force in the Pressure plate.

I have a King Cobra Clutch, and it works fine... The clutch pedal is a little harder to push, but I'm used to it already.

King cobra clutch is SO heavy

You guys are pussies.

x2. Had one in my 97 cobra. Best feeling clutch ive ever had! stock clutches feel strange to me, like im not even pressing anything. Then again I work out 5-6 days a week, and get paid to keep people in line. :)

it's not heavy, but if you plan on running slicks at the track don't waste your money, my king cobra didn't last 3 races before i was running 12.7@113 with slicks.

Don't plan on slicks, gotta stick to performance street tires to keep the t5 alive. :angry7:
