I know the tranny is massive though.I am going to be bolting up a tranny with a Toploader bolt pattern. My Australian car, built in 1972, came with a hydraulic clutch and I want to keep it that way. I was wondering if there is an American bellhousing I can use. The engine is a 351 Cleveland but it has the same bolt pattern as the smallblock engines. I don't know why they didn't use hydraulic clutches here in the US long ago. Seems so simple. Perhaps they didn't want to pay for new tooling? Can't be that much when figuring the economies of scale.Steve</blockquote>
