looking for a new hood

i want a new hood with a raise but i dont want it to be too intense. im not sure on the heights of the hoods out there but i dont want it to be too high... can someone link me to a low rasied hood like a 2" if that sounds right?????? IDK

when i bought my 98 gt it had a cowl hood on it....thought it was a 2" cobra r....but the more research i do im thinking its a 1.5" cobra r..and i love it....1.5" cobra r cowl hood ftw :santa_afro:

I remember looking on the Dugan Racing site for hoods. I'm not sure of that is how it's spelled though!

buy a stock cobra hood, they look the best on our cars, but dont give you 2" of clearance. if you need that clearance than a 2" RR is the way to go

You can say I am biased because I have a Cobra, but I think 94pro-5.0 is right. I have parked my car next to GT's and sixers with the stock hood, and it just does not look the same. The Cobra hood gives the car the character that it needs.

The New Edge's look mean from the front. If it is a stock 94-98 they just look blah. Sorry guys, that is my opinion.

Cobra R hood makes the car look a ton more aggressive than the stock hood also, the difference is amazing.

You also have to pay a little attention, Cobra R hoods can be listed as many different sizes and still be the same size, this thread proves what I'm saying. A lot depends on the manufacturer and where they measure from. Mine's a 1.5" HO Fibertrends R hood but it's the same size as the Cervinis 3.5" R hood.

probably because the factory hood is 1 1/2" i believe. and some companies consider there hood from zero
(factory hood height, plus cowl) where as others, such as HO fibertrends, start the cowl measurement from
the stock level 3" cowl - factory 1 1/2".... etc.
