Looking for a Parasitic Draw 96 GT

I was replacing a faulty ECT on my stang about a month ago and mistakingly I forgot to take the negative terminal off my battery and a wire connected from my alternator to the battery grounded out on my alternator, which ended up causing causing some problems. I thought little of it and I took the car for a test drive after I installed the new ECT and I ended up dying out in a parking lot after 10 minutes of driving. After these events, I replaced my alternator and had it tested (which tested fine), replaced my battery, replaced my fusible link, checked all of the fuses (which were all good), and got new battery terminals. The only problem that I can think of next is that the wiring job is pretty janky where the ECT connects to the wiring harness and I’m thinking that wire being open could be drawing a lot of power and causing it to die. I’m not sure what to troubleshoot next so any help is greatly appreciated.

hey fellas is 96 one of the years with the resistor in the dash that is necessary? I only know 94/95 by heart

So what is the problem crank no start or no crank?

Yes crank no start is the problem right now, unless if I charge the battery up then it will crank over and start. W/out charging it my battery sits at 6-7 volts.

battery is bad at that voltage. It does not matter if it is a month old
