Message: <blockquote data-quote="ttocs" data-source="post: 1163540" data-attributes="member: 11896">yes mach systems started in 94.  the mach 1000 came out later and was not available in 94.With out knowing if the speakers are stock or not leaves a big question.  If someone took out the stock 8 ohm woofers and replaced them with a standard 4 ohm full range 5 x 7 that could be a big part of the problem.  You would need to pull the door panel off or would need to drop the rear enclosure to see if they have been replaced.  You might also just look to see if the rear enclosure has been removed as if it has, that was why....Start simple and just try grabbing/jiggling the wire hrns going to the factory amps in the back while the radio has power.  See if the sound changes at all and don't be afraid to give it a fairly good tug/pull to test the connections as it should not be an issue.  A lot of mach amps have been going out lately from what I have been reading here I think they have just seen their time come/go now after almost 20 yrs of use.a 3rd and easy option is to check the electrical noise condenser that is located on the ignition coil under the hood.  It looks like a small black AA battery, an A23 size if you know that that is.  I think it only has one or two wires and is just basically made to reduce the noise the coil creates in doing its job.  Again turn on the radio and see if adjusting(jiggling/tugging/pulling if you want the tech term) makes any difference in the sound.</blockquote>
