Aftermarket amps usually supply 12V. This can cause a loud pop when the radio turns on and potentially destroy the amps over time. You can use a step down harness like this to knock the voltage down. Mine is a convertible and with top down and volumn up, i have no complaints. Are there better systems out there? Absolutely. But for what I use the car for it works fantastic.</p></blockquote><p></p>
